This Labour government have turned-out to be one of the biggest political disappointments in my living memory.
They appear to have been subsumed lock, stock, the fucking lot by the Neoliberal agenda.
If you are unfamiliar with Neoliberalism and how it has captured many of the political systems of the west and affected pretty much all of us then I suggest reading George Monbiot’s excellent (and short) The Invisible Doctrine.
The Blindboy also has a recent podcast on this topic which I strongly suspect is largely based on the above book, check it here on Spotify.
If both of those seem like too much investment, you lazy cunt, then Monbiot has a great article in the Guardian from 2016 which is actually where I first came across the term.
If they haven’t yet realised that they on the way to a single term before passing the shitty baton on to Reform then they are doing a good job of hiding it as they utterly wreck the social contract making ‘tough decisions’ whilst pointing to an imaginary fiscal black hole which from the point of view of one of the every expanding number of UK billionaires looks like a rather large pile of largely untaxed assets and wealth.
This Labour government have been such a disappointment since taking power from the Tories that it’s difficult to describe. In that respect this childish travesty of a website will exist to document as much as possible of their cuntery.
Oh, and if you are wondering where the strapline comes from it’s this absolute banger of a Tweet from Otto English, post Labour’s election:
